The internet connection went down in my area so I decided to take the opportunity to head out to a few stores to look for a new yoga vid with no such luck. I also took a much needed trip to Natures Own Herb Shop to stock up on my oils, butters and organic snacks. Since we were in the area, mini me and I decided to have lunch at Lov'n It Live. I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while now but never wanted to make the 45 minute drive from my home. It is one out of two raw food restaurants in GA with the other being Life Grocery & Cafe. The inside was very nice and quaint not what I expected at all.
They open up at 2 pm and we arrived around 3 beating the rush so that was a huge plus. I was told they get pretty crowded late evening. Mini me ordered the seaweed soup and I ordered the infamous tostada that all of my vegan and raw foodist friends recommended.
huge 16 oz soup with homemade flax crackers
This beautiful HUGE tostada of fresh veggie goodness with 2 types of delicious sauce on top of a flax seed crust
The portions were huge and very filling to say the least! I immediately cut my tostada in half as I knew this would be lunch and dinner. I am so glad that I finally went because it was everything that my friends described to me. It was soooo delicious and even hours later when I ate the rest. As you may already know I love my desserts so we ordered a piece of carob cake and a brownie to go because we were too full to eat them there. I can't stop nibbling on the carob cake as I type. We saved the brownie for tomorrows treat but of course I pinched a piece off and it was very moist and delicious. The desserts were also raw and so full of flavor. On my list of things to do is learn how to make these friggen meals!
I also made some shea butter fluff as per the instructions on Naptural85's youtube channel. End result: I LOVE it! I tried it out on one braid and just unraveled it and it turned out very defined, shiny and just lovely. I cannot wait until my hair is longer so I can rock this style! Until then I'll just use it to keep my hair from being so dry.
