i gave this product 2 tries on freshly shampooed and conditioned hair and both attempts were total failures. the texture is like a custard and it smells good. i wanted to like it but both times it seemed to straighten out my curls rather than define them. the directions state that it's great for roller setting or sculpting. perhaps if i decide to do either of those i'll give this product another try. until then my verdict = FAIL
